Anthony D’Alessandro ‘City Lights’ Album Release Concert featuring Jennarie

Join award winning Toronto based jazz pianist Anthony D’Alessandro on the Toronto stop of his ‘City Lights’ album release tour for a jazz concert featuring vocalist Jennarie. Celebrating the release of his upcoming album ‘City Lights’, the program will include original songs from the album along with stories and insight from the composer himself, as well as works by George Gershwin, James P. Johnson, Jennarie, and more.

Anthony D’Alessandro is a pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader based in Toronto, Canada. Hailed by the WholeNote Magazine as a pianist with a “natural feeling for swing and groove” and “scintillating technique”, he has performed in many notable clubs, concert halls and jazz festivals around the world including the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Teatro Nescafé de las Artes in Santiago Chile, Birdland Jazz Club and Smalls Jazz Club in New York City, and Koerner Hall in Toronto. He tours internationally as a bandleader including performances across Canada, the United States, South America, and Europe. He regularly performs alongside a “who’s who” of the industry’s top jazz musicians including international artists such as Benny Benack III, Joe Farnsworth, and Summer Camargo as well as fellow Canadians Caity Gyorgy, Neil Swainson, Pat LaBarbara, and Ernesto Cervini.

D’Alessandro’s debut full length album Searchin’ (2024), featuring NYC based trumpeter and vocal star Benny Benack III, debuted to critical acclaim, being called an “uplifting and feel- good jazz record” by the Paris Move, and a “gem of an album” by Jersey Jazz Magazine. His composition Tune for Monty was selected for CBC Music’s prestigious “Songs You Need to Hear” list in May 2024. His sophomore album City Lights releases in October 2025.

D’Alessandro has toured and recorded with three-time JUNO award winning vocalist Caity Gyorgy, having played piano on her most recent 2025 JUNO winning album “Hello, How Are You?”

About Jennarie
Originating from Toronto, Canada, Jennarie is an independent artist with a distinctive blend of R&B and jazz, channeling influences from Adele and Amy Winehouse into a uniquely personal style. Renowned for her dynamic vocals, extensive range, and impassioned performances, Jennarie has left an indelible mark on the Canadian music scene, gracing renowned venues and festivals including Pride Toronto and the Kensington Jazz Festival. Notably, she toured with tap dancer Travis Knights, captivating audiences at the National Arts Center in Ottawa and the FURIES International Dance Festival in Gaspésie, Québec.

In the summer of 2022, Jennarie received grants from the Ontario Arts Council, leading her to New York City for an immersive exploration of jazz history under award-winning artist Michelle Willis. Her return marked a pivotal moment with the “Artist Development” grant from FACTOR, resulting in the creation of “My Body Treats Me Better,” a funky pop anthem releasing on November 24th. Beyond her musical endeavors, Jennarie, a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of Toronto, is actively involved in community initiatives, recently completing Xenia’s Artists Accessibility Program training in October 2023.
